Aiken Fall Steeplechase 2026

The Fall Steeplechase is a half day of sanctioned jump racing over the Aiken course, but for most of the people there it is a tailgate. Families set up railside with chairs and tables between races, and there are kids’ activities and hat contests through the afternoon. It is one of the two anchors of Aiken’s horse-country calendar.
Saturday, October 31, 2026. Gates open 9 AM, first race 1 PM, gates close 5:30 PM.
The Association has moved the Fall Steeplechase to the last Saturday in October going forward, which puts the 33rd running on Halloween. Costumes at the rail seem likely.
