Who We Are
CSRA Night & Day is a local discovery site covering events, restaurants, and things to do across the Augusta, GA area, including Evans, Aiken, Martinez, Grovetown, and North Augusta. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, how we use it, who else receives it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.
Information You Give Us
You can browse the site without giving us anything. You only give us personal information when you choose to fill in one of these:
- Contact form (contact page): your name, email address and message, plus an optional phone number and ZIP code.
- Quick note form (FAQ page): your name, email address and message, plus an optional phone number and subject.
- Submit Your Business form (submit page): your business name, your name, your email address, your website or social page, and a description of your business or event.
You do not need an account to use this site. The site has no online checkout and does not collect payment card details. If you buy a paid service from us, we invoice you directly, and the payment provider named on the invoice handles your payment under its own privacy policy.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site receives some technical information when you visit:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to run and secure the site.
- Site analytics. We use Gauges, a third-party analytics service, to count visits. It receives the pages you view, the page that referred you, your browser and device details, and your IP address. We use these reports only in aggregate, to see which pages people read.
- Fonts. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google when a page loads.
- Maps. Business pages include an embedded Google Map. Loading the map sends your IP address and browser details to Google, and your use of the map is covered by Google’s privacy policy.
Cookies
WordPress sets cookies that keep site administrators logged in. Our analytics service may use cookies or similar browser storage to tell new visits from return visits. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites for advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work. The site does not currently change how it behaves in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
How We Use Your Information
We use what you send us to reply to you, to review and follow up on business and event submissions, and, if you ask about them, to discuss our paid services with you. We use the automatically collected information to run, secure and improve the site.
Who Receives Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the site: our website host; Google, whose Gmail service receives our form messages, and whose Fonts and Maps services load on our pages; and Gauges, for analytics. They receive only what they need to provide their service.
- The public, for business details you submit to appear in a listing.
- When the law requires it, for example to comply with a subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- If the site changes hands, to whoever takes over operating it, under a privacy policy at least as protective as this one.
How Long We Keep It
We keep form messages for as long as we need them to respond to you or to keep a record of a business or event listing. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless we need to keep it to meet a legal obligation.
Your Choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send your request through our contact form or by email, and tell us which form it relates to. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within any time limit the law of your state sets. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the site. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information, such as financial account numbers, through our forms.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Other Websites
Listings and guides link to businesses’ own websites and social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site changes, for example if we add a newsletter or new services. The current version will always be on this page with its “last updated” date.
