Oliver Hardy Festival 2026

Harlem was Oliver Hardy’s hometown, and once a year the whole downtown turns out for him. The parade steps off at 10 AM, and North Louisville Street fills with something like a hundred craft and food booths, a stage running variety acts all day, look-alike contests, classic comedy shorts at the local theater, and a kid zone. Most years it draws around ten thousand people.
Saturday, October 3, 2026, 9 AM to 3 PM. Parade at 10 AM.
The 2026 theme is Swiss Miss, after the 1938 Laurel and Hardy feature.
Free to attend. The Harlem Museum and Welcome Center, home of the Laurel and Hardy Museum of Georgia, anchors the festival at 135 North Louisville Street.
